Just Beat It
Goddamnit, someone on Shacknews mentioned Michael Jackson's "Beat It" and now I have it stuck in my head.
Hope everyone's Halloween is starting off as shitty as mine is! I'm congested, I'm tired, and I overall feel like shit. I was up too late playing Metroid 2 (fucking metroids!) and couldn't sleep in the first place. And this head cold is making me nuts already.
I forgot to bring breakfast to school. I forgot my computer science and economics books too. At least I remembered my pencil and pen this time!
This might just become one of those running entries throughout the day. I love sitting in the computer lab here at school towards the back of the room because I can watch what everyone else is doing. Fat guy looking at porn, kid in my CS class in an AOL chatroom. You'd never believe how much time these people spend in AOL chatrooms and Yahoo Games. And now I'm having a sneezing fit. Fuck.
I’m the Compound Interest on your Seven Year Loan
Tonight we do much rejoicing! Last night was my final shift at Gamestop! HURRAH!
And oh what a final shift it was! Grand Theft Auto: Vice City day! 200+ people in line for one measly fucking game! So I started the night by telling most of the people in line that it was probably my last night there (and I'll explain the "probably" later) and that I was working past my two-weeks so I really didn't give a flying fuck what happened! And then I let a lot of people know that I was working without any breaks or dinner. I think some parents got concerned for my health for that. And then I spent 2 hours sitting on the floor reading magazines on the clock! Why? Because it was my last shift!
I could've (and probably should've, in hindsight) walked out the door with a copy of Vice City stuffed down my pants too but me and my fucking morals wouldn't let me do that. Oh well, stealing is trashy anyway, I'd rather fuck over John out in the open than behind his back. Oh and I was scheduled to work tonight too but after all the shit I did last night, I wasn't up to working tonight.
Katie and I went out to Best Buy tonight and I got her the new Tori Amos CD (limited edition, of course) and the special edition of Boogie Nights for her birthday. Yeah, I'm late, I know. She bought Go and Hell of the Living Dead as gifts from her parents. And when I went to my parents' house to do some laundry, I found out that my mom inadvertently subscribed me to Electronic Gaming Monthly. It's not bad. It's chock full of ads though and the reviews are still skewed from their N64 fanboy days.
And so now my life will improve, right?
And Now For Some Substance
Hey kids. I woke up an hour early. Damn daylight savings. NO ONE told me about this till it was too late!
Yesterday was a ball. I worked at Gamestop all morning till 4. Okay, so it kind of sucked because Ryan showed up and hour after I did and that just spoiled my morning but Katie made me a wonderful lunch and I didn't feel so homicidal after that. I was determined to buy one last game though, it came down to Suikoden 3, Animal Crossing, or the Gamecube Broadband Adapter. Yes, the broadband adapter is not a game but it's necessary for a game I want to get into when it comes out, Phantasy Star Online. And then someone wanted to see the used Gameboy games and I noticed we had a copy of Metroid 2. So I saved a pile of cash, Katie's rolling eyes and heaving sigh, and bought Metroid 2.
And when I got home, Katie made something new for dinner, peanut & noodles or something like that. It was spaghetti with peanut butter and soy sauce and ginger and other such things. It was interesting. I could only taste the peanut butter though. It was alright though! And then we watched Friday the 13th 1, Halloween 4 and 5, and then we passed out.
And now, today is Katie's birthday. She's not in a great mood so we probably won't do anything special but wish her happy birthday anyway!

It's getting kind of late. I'm a little tired. There's not a lot to do right now besides pick through some of my recently downloaded mp3s.
I worked at Gamestop tonight. Closed with my FAVORITE person ever, Ryan! That's okay, he sent me to get some dinner for him and I stopped by Journey's to say hi to Shane and he spit in Ryan's dinner and I did too on the way back to the store. Ha ha ha!
And the the gameboy advance demo unit had a FULL version of Metroid Fusion in it. This game doesn't come out for another month. I played it for like an hour after we closed because it's INCREDIBLY fun. And now I'm fiending for the new Metroids but I'm left with nothing but playing as Samus in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
And I spent the whole day without shaving.
I Wish I Had a Girlfriend who Could Type

I don't have a lot of talking to do. Work, school, today is a day off. I'm trying to get a couple things around the house done. Kind of clean up. Kind of put some things away. Play some games. Blah Blah Blah. I think I need new fluorescent lights for my bathroom. My head must've broke at least one of them because it refuses to light up right.
Tomorrow is the Big Day. I go to Peoria for my interviews for my promotion. My guts are already in knots. At least once I'm done with them, they'll be over with and I can quit worrying about it.
Yesterday at work, one of the relatively new kids asked me if I was in a band. He said I look like I'm in one. He's the 2nd person to ask me that. Maybe this is some big flashing cosmic sign that I should practice my bass more and join a band.
What a Lineup
I miss my afternoon Kids in the Hall. And the flying pig and son of flying pig.
What did I do this weekend? A whole load of work. Work, work, work. Of course, this was all training for my new position. I think I might have to talk to Katie about this because midway through yesterday I wasn't sure I really wanted the job. Eh. Who knows.
Matt and I are to a point in Super Smash Bros. Melee where he's not throwing himself off a cliff as often and now I actually have to EARN wins. We played one match that was him as Bowser and me as Samus with 10 lives each and it took us more than 15 minutes to finish it. It's no longer just a quick and simple fighting game, this was an epic battle. Oh and our ABSOLUTELY ridiculous pokeball matches. We turned off all the items except for pokeballs and set to show up constantly and let the pokemon do the fighting for us. It was INSANE. And then we did it in giant mode!
I'm kind of tired. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep this weekend because Matt was in town so I was always up late. Tomorrow's a day off and can't come soon enough.
Is This Thing On?
Okay, I've only got like 3 seconds to say this because I have to get to work but my DSL has been down and now I think I've got it working again but who knows! Anyway, Matt's been in town but he's leaving today so any of you bastards who wanted to see him better give him a call or something today because he's leaving! And we didn't end up seeing the Toxic Avenger because without the DSL, none of us know how to get to Bloomington, let alone the theater it was showing at. ANYWAY! Off to work!
Also of Note
I'd like to make mention that whenever my favorite SOF2 server is full, I get weepy and cry. Really, is it too much to ask to always have a spot open on a server that's not packed full of dickheads? So there's a couple there but who cares! I still get to shoot them in the ass with my AK! I think that's the best part of the game. Shooting people in the ass. Because it makes their ass bloody and if you get them with something like the shottie, they die!
Yesterday I even survived a whole round! AN ENTIRE ROUND! I didn't even die! It was spectacular! I could celebrate with everyone else when we won by unloading all my ammo into the nearest teammate! I also take great pleasure in stabbing the air with my AK's bayonette several times at the beginning of the round, to let people know I'm serious and ready to party!
This game seriously needs to drop into reasonable price range, so Matt can join in the fun. But some of those Capture The Flag maps need some work. I spent a good portion of time getting grenaded and staring at my corpse because the bases were so close and the respawn timer so short. Oh yeah, and once I had the bomb in a "demolition" match and I was trying to set it and it was funny because one of the (very few) dickheads on the server called me a moron. Hey! Spacebar wasn't working! I didn't know it had to be Enter!
It is early, I'm at school, and I'm bored. I think I'll close my eyes and dream of stabbing someone in the ass with my AK-47 (the real ultimate victory).

Egbg.nl has a "counter-script" for telemarketer calls. Basically, when a telemarketer calls, you start asking them simple questions and then more complex questions until you know where they live, how long they've had their job, how much they make, their phone number, and the toothpase they recommend. It's ABSOLUTE genius! I've already printed out one for the next telemarketer and I CANNOT wait!

Less Than Obligated
Today was my day off.
School was entertaining. I tried to print out a program for my computer science class to find out that the files I thought were finished, were old versions and far from. What a pain in the ass. And then I got to play teacher's assistant in sociology. Dr. Raza needed someone to "wolunteer" to pass out class evaluations. How could I say no to that?
And then I played a pile of Soldier of Fortune 2 online. I'm DETERMINED to get my moneys worth out of this game! It was fun but I still died a whole lot. But it was fun!
And now possibly my favorite website Shacknews has a subscription service. I love The Shack and I've been waiting for a way to show my support for them. Plus the first 100 full year sign-ups got a free t-shirt and mousepad. So Steve and Maarten sucked $60 out of my wallet and I've got some fun stuff on the way!
And then Katie and I had some foreplay in the shower before I threw her on the bed, bent her over, and fucked her like the bitch ass ho (and not a garden tool) that she is. I love you sweetie!
