Well that was fun.
My site died. It died because the NIC went bad on the server I'm hosted on. I never noticed how much I rely on my website and email (run through my website) to keep me entertained at work.
So to entertain myself yesterday I downloaded all 75 issues of Sandman. It's ridiculously good. I read ten issues at work and another five after work. It keeps me occupied without looking like I'm not doing anything. And it keeps me entertained.

you know that comercial where the dude comes back from the army and visits his freinds and they ask him what he does in the the army. His repley is “I’m working with computers” and his friends are like “well you could have done that here right?” and then they show some quick clip of the dude in a tent typing something on a lap top. then it cuts back to the dude with his buddies and he reponds “No.” I’m pretty sure that comercial is full of shit. after reading about a month worth of your posts i have decided that you could be doing this here. you just wouldn’t be getting paid as much and you would not have steady work. you sould talk to someone about taking that commercial off the air.

It’s kind of true though. Even though everything I’m working with is commercial hardware found in the states, the way I get my internet connections are all satellite based, which is rare in the states, and I’m managing a few networks, where in the states you usually only have one. And more often than not, people expect me to know how to work military-based programs that happen to be on a computer because I’m the computer guy, even though I never work with these programs. There’s a lot of stuff I’m doing out here I’d never get to do in the states. But that commercial is totally lame though and should be pulled just for that reason.
