I'm in the process of mirroring this site locally so I can do more playing with it. Way back when I had a lot more free time I liked to make my own movable type themes. I'd even do crappy graphics, thanks to a drawing pad and a handed down scanner. At this time in my life I probably need a more creative outlet than video games and I won't lack for free time in Iraq. This also has the side effect of making me expose myself to newer programming languages like PHP, AJAX, Ruby, etc. which will help out a lot, post-Army. I can't do deskside support forever. I won't. Plus if I can find some good references for those languages, a local WAMP setup can keep me plenty entertained even without an internet connection.

I'm enjoying a four day weekend. Kind of. Yesterday was pretty lame. I had a bad sandwich for lunch and that just about crapped on the entire rest of the day.
