#1 – Mass Effect (PC)

(I’m taking a page from Roushi and numbering the games I finish, though my count probably won’t reset every year, I just don’t finish enough games)

If I had gotten Mass Effect earlier in the year, I would’ve completed my New Years’ resolution. I own nearly every Bioware RPG and this is the first one I’ve finished. There wasn’t much of it I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. The combat is engaging, the graphics and sound are fantastic, controls great. The minor quests get a little repetitive and the resource hunts are pointless except for cheap XP and cash. Some of the sweep-and-clear minor quests gave me a serious sense of deja vu but I enjoyed them regardless. It’s a great game.

#2, Condemned: Criminal Origins, will get wrapped up tomorrow. Hopefully.

Did you restart with your same character to shake him all the way to level 60?
Bioware is supposed to have some type of *importing* of your chosen final save file for M.E. 2

Oh and did you do "Bringing down the sky?"

Nope, this was my first playthrough and I didn't reach 60 but I was close. 50 something, I think.

I did play the Bringing Down the Sky mission. It was fun but the Batarians felt kind of forced. It was as though their history with humanity was really only relevant to that one mission. Also, they could've put a couple Batarians in the Citadel just to at least give the illusion that they exist outside of Asteroid X57.

From what I can remember the Codex saying about Batarians, their self-imposed exile prevents them from mingling . I think this was after their asking the Citadel Council to intervene on the side of 'Batarian interests' when humans were colonizing where the Batarians were also settling and the subsequent refusal of the council to help them. The Batarians closed their embassy at the citadel, severed economic and diplomatic relations and retreated to their own system. They are now rarely seen in Citadel space.

Without spoilering, Ashley or Liara T'soni? This is one cool Halloween costume.

Ha ha, Liara! Though to be honest, I never used either of them in my party. My party was always Wrex and Tali. I used Liara for Noveria only.

I saw this too! I can't wait! Also, Shepard can't be dead and they better have a shorter turn around time for the PC port!

Ah oki ;)
Oh I too can't wait, and I don't like things that remind of just how long a wait I must yet endure.

On subsequent viewings I think the Geth is holding and not wearing the N7 armor.
Which kind of kills my hopes for a Geth Teamate (think a Geth doggy is too much to ask for?!?)

Considering that the "teaser" vid is through Bioware's own site:
http://masseffect.bioware.com/teaser/index.html
And that it appears to be from a Cerberus *interface*
Not to mention that there are several other vids yet blacked out and listed as "Classified"
(which I expect they will release like little single bread crumbs until the final release.)

Bioware developers themselves have stated "Don't discard your M.E.1 saved files!"
I too would guess that Cmdr Shepard can not be killed off so easily.
Eeeeeek Why do I have the ominous feeling that all of humanity is going to pay for my decision to set the Rachni queen free. (even after the Rachni Codex entry and her own *words* sent shivers up my spine)
