Okay seriously
I think someone has given out my Google Voice number. Last week I got missed three phone calls from three unknown numbers within the span of six hours. One of them I can trace back to a gas station in New Berlin, I don't know where the rest came from.
My dad called me a couple days ago and says he's been getting a couple of phone calls from people asking for me. My dad lives in Florida. I have his number on my phone, and I haven't given it out to anyone. We're both boggled as to how anyone can make the connection between us as I haven't seen him in more than two years and we typically only communicate through email.
Just 20 minutes ago, I got this voicemail in my Google Voice mailbox. I missed the call because my phone was on silent. I can't even tell what the person on the other end is saying except for the bit at the end.
So if anyone knows anything about this, please let me know!
The least smooth transition.
This weekend I've been playing a lot of Unreal Tournament 3. Last night doubleplusungood invited me to a game of Left 4 Dead. I was in the middle of a UT3 match so I went straight from that into the Left 4 Dead lobby.
When I got into the game I was upset to find out my double-jump was coming up short and my hoverboard was missing.
The Twilight Zone
I'm in Tacoma, WA. IVAW is having a shindig this weekend here and they paid for my plane ticket.
The first place we all get together is Coffee Strong, which is a veteran owned coffee shop. I felt I had walked into another dimension. This place looks just like The Asylum and someone I remember from The Asylum is there. What.
It turns out she's working with a war resisters organization. She's as shocked as I am to see someone else from Springfield here. We chit chat and then she leaves. Later in the evening there's a show. It's exactly the same kind of show The Asylum would've put on.
I thoroughly believe I've hit some time pocket and actually landed in Springfield eight years ago at my current age. More to follow.
Planet of the Apes (2001)
What in the hell was that. Jim and Chris and I caught the last half of the original Planet of the Apes while I was in Springfield and it's still awesome and I've never seen the 2001 remake so I watched it today. Total dogshit. It moves too fast and gets nothing done. The neaderthal humans speak but so infrequently as to make you believe they're incapable of it. The ending makes no sense. What the fuck, Tim Burton, what the fuck.
